"Art is not a reproduction of what is visible, it creates visible what is not always apparent."
This phrase by Paul Klee encapsulates part of his poetics and translates aesthetically in the style of graffiti the artist employs in his painting 'Fish Magic' of 1925.
The surface of the painting is dark, an unformed backdrop; like prior to the birth and explosion of life, which was the big bang: in the beginning was darkness. This darkness is the stuff of the unconscious, hidden beneath the facade of things and even of ourselves which is hard to see and understand, which seems to be a mystery. Knowing our unconscious, like the secrets of existence is a challenging, but not impossible job and a gruelling task that not all of us are willing to take on. In the darkness, the light shines
Klee's magic fish do not claim to be true, but they are only light that illuminates darkness. They are inhabitants of the dark, creatures of the unconscious. The artist is able to scratch into the surface of unconscious as well as the canvas, beneath which are hidden, but vibrant characters, plants, colours forms and images. The meaning of this technical operation is salvific and vital by revealing that, deep in the depths of the sea and dark insanity, there are tiny shimmering creatures that stir the water to follow along with the flow of currents. Fish are stories, desires and stories flashes of ideas and dreams that emerge from the dark night. They are games that slumber in the midst of life They are vibrant, childlike fantasies, impulses that, whether consciously or not, guide the actions and hopes of people.
Rare and valuable fish
Are these fishes real or not? Are they esoteric and exotic life forms?

We think that we can see and control every aspect of our lives, and that we are in control of the whole image of everything however, deep in the sea, the unconscious , and the past decades of our lives, are essences and coincidences of which we are completely in the dark: fish that are not seen that are rare and valuable animals. You believe that you are aware of all that you are, but forget that in the most obscure and inseparable part inside you, a snail fish that wags its tail and, even though it is hidden into a place that is not accessible to the brain it lets out jelly and visceral thoughts. You forget, then, the distant vision that remained in as a child and encased within a bubble. It was nothing but a aquarium of the fish. the dream lies there, a viper of a fish which turns and turns within the sphere. It now it reveals its teeth; you perceive only its glistening, unformed form because you have pulled away the shutter, and the it is dark in the room.

When everything is dark and silent, however, it is easier to perceive light, see movements, hear the sound of rustling You just need to get your senses used to being in darkness. It can take a while, and it can be frustrating initially because you get the impression of being blind, but once you get used to it, you will be able to overcome the darkness, you can even feed on it. Scales shimmer, bubbles bubble transparently, nothing is really transparent, but it all appears to be a complete picture that can be scratched just a bit more as long as we are alive and choose to understand ourselves a bit more.
Watching them as they swim
What should we do with the fish? Should we fish them and bring them to the surface or keep them at sea? Surely it is crucial to preserve their wildness and savagery and not force them into sunlit aquariums under the sun or use them as the primary course in the lunch of logic. In their irrational, ugly and abnormal nature lies their strength and the key we can use to understand our own the essence of our. Fish must be observed, allowing ourselves to be seduced by their frequent and endless swimming. This is a meditation, a continuous repetition that allows one to find out more about them at every second. We have to observe the flashes that flash in front of us and quickly disappear because they are intermittent lights that momentarily illuminate the dark parts of us. They allow us to see deep into the darkness of our being.
Ocean Currents
The fish aren't stationary and move from you to me and vice versa. They have discovered a collective stream that roughly runs all of us and connects our common beliefs and thoughts. The fish know you but do not consider you a threat and do not need boundaries to delimit them. Darkness is their home however they are not afraid of occasionally being fished out and having their essence shine through like a bolt of lightning, similar to an eureka like a ray energy that flows up the spine and explodes into the brain, similar to the electric current that swims along the cables of light. The fish are similar to that, swimming, bobbing with their rhythm The ocean is their sanctuary and they're not scared of the absence of walls and boundaries. It can be in the vastness the globe that they will experience the joy of being present today, not in the future and being able to roam forever, knowing it is always possible to find their way back as in the oceans of the unconscious, the path is circular.
